Plague Part Deux!
Journalist Charlie Rivers spread "the Irath flu," as it's colloquially known, from the game world to the show. In the game, we've seen the plague hit the Bay Area and turn victims ("the afflicted") super-aggressive and violent.
Coast To Coast Cure
Doc Yewll sent a message to her colleague in the game, Erin NiDen, requesting her help finding a cure for the Irath flu that's struck Defiance. In the week leading up to this episode, players worked with NiDen to help develop a cure.
